First Meet Approaching Soon

The CHAP Chariots Boys Cross Country Team will begin its' 9th season under Coach Kevin Shoemaker with its' first official team practice on Monday August 12th.

Although they graduated a large class of Varsity runners in 2018, the 2019 team returns several others who contributed to the Varsity group previously.  Top returners include Senior Asa Rowntree, and Juniors Joseph Carson, Alexander Hundt and Dylan Thomas.  The team also looks forward to adding two outstanding Freshmen in Daniel Thomas and Dawson Parks., both of whom were All-Area runners in Jr. High last season.

The Chariots will begin competition on Friday, August 16th at the St. Johns "Under The Lights" Invitational.   Also in August, the team's second meet will be a return visit to the Laingsburg "Early Burg" Invitational on Thursday, August 29th.

Last season the Chariots finished 3rd in the MIHS (Homeschool) State Championship Meet behind Kalamazoo Homeschool Sports and the Grand Rapids Track Club.  With those teams each graduating multiple seniors, this year's State Championship promises to be a toss up, so the Chariots will have their sights set on a return to the Trophy Podium.
